Abstract:
Based on the overall urban design project for Daqing,this thesis studies the application of virtual reality geography information system (VRGIS) technology for overall urban design and the key technologies and technical route of the VRGIS system development. The VRGIS assistant support system is exploited and applied to Daqing overall urban design project. The thesis focuses on:1. Based on the design concepts and issues in the urban design,in this thesis,the necessity of VRGIS application to the urban design is discussed and the concrete applications are analyzed in the different urban design stages,and the application flow is exploited. According to the functions required,the VRGIS system structure is developed and the whole structure is designed preliminarily.2. The thesis analyses the situation of overall urban design for Daqing. According to the characteristics and requirements of the project,the technical route of overall urban design and the key problems that should be focused on and solved in the processing of the project are put forward,which make it clear that the aim of the system development and the function of the system should be achieved.3. The paper further makes clear the principles to follow and normative standard in the system development process,according to the VRGIS application and functions needed for Daqing. The hierarchical structure of the system is put forward and the VRGIS system structure for Daqing is designed.4. Based on VRGIS data contents of Daqing,the system database is designed. At the logical level,the database is divided into six sub-databases, and the specific organization scheme of the spatial data is determined.5. The paper adopts Rapid Prototyping development model. The system is developed by using component based development mode Arc Engine of ESRI Company as the development platform of 2-d subsystem and the interactive graphic modeling system MultiGen of MultiGen-Paradigm Company to product and develop the 3-d virtual scene. And the making process of 3-d virtual scene is introduced in detail. In the end,the system platform and function mode are displayed.6. At last,the VRGIS system is applied to the Daqing overall urban design,nd the application situation is summarized and analyzed.This thesis is an example of the application of VRGIS technology to urban design. The facts show that,the work efficiency and accuracy of the system users are increased,by using the system,and the cost is decreased for the urban design department. The system played an important role and make contributions to the project of overall urban design for Daqing.
