Abstract:
The ring test is an effective way to study the crack resistance of cement-based materials. Ring specimen constraints to speed up the cement-based materials such as mortar and concrete shrinkage cracking, cracking sensitivity to accurately determine the material in a shorter time and more effectively cracking of cement-based materials, the paper in the traditional ring-test methods test methods on the basis of a further improvement to to limit cement-based materials crack location shorten the purpose of cement-based materials restrained shrinkage cracking time. Type of traditional ring-test, the specimen used herein is a combination of ring, i.e. in the different parts of the same specimen to set the type of rubber particle sizes content, the type of water-cement ratio, and changing the method of test mode size cement the grout cracking sensitivity test, explore the feasibility of improving the ring test methods, a preliminary study on rubber aggregate cement paste shrinkage and crack resistance. Also the compressive strength and flexural strength of cement paste specimens were measured and analyzed and found that incorporation of the rubber particles to a certain extent, reduce the compressive strength and flexural strength of the specimens, however, with rubber particles increase in the volume fraction, the test piece folding pressure ratio is significantly improved, and by the test procedure found that the incorporation of rubber particles ductility than the destruction of the specimen when the specimen without the rubber particles increased. By the water-cement ratio, the dosage of the rubber particles, the combination of angle, ambient temperature and humidity, the change of the five parameters of the specimen size, the combination of ring test results showed that: (1) When the water-cement ratio relative to the same time, with the incorporation of the rubber particles the volume of content increases, the time required for cracking of the test pieces of cement slurry ring gradually extended; (2) of the same specimen by the water-cement ratio of 0.40 and 0.25 of the cement paste, five different combinations of angles, cracking location appeared in the water-cement ratio of 0.25 area; (3) of the same specimen part of the region doped with the rubber particles, the remaining part containing rubber particles of the composition of the specimen, cracking the location area containing rubber particles, the type of water-cement ratio pair four different size test pieces are the same results; (4) The test pieces of the same composition under different temperature and humidity conditions, the relative humidity the the specimen cracking under the conditions of low temperature required a longer time; (5) on the cement paste under the same environmental conditions of the same water-cement ratio of four different sizes ring specimen cracking time, the ring height, and the wall thickness remains constant, the inner diameter is increased to three times the original size test pieces cracking at the earliest, followed by the specimen of the original size, and then three times the height of the inner ring specimen of the same outside diameter and wall thickness, cracking the latest of which is the inner diameter and height unchanged, increased wall thickness of three times the original size ring specimens.
