Abstract:
Incineration of municipal solid waste(MSW) can largely reduce the quality and volume of waste and the quantity of heat can be used effectively. So it’s a better way to dispose of the waste besides the landfilling.In order to reveal how the composition of waste impact the combustion process of municipal solid waste, a fixed-bed is employed by Rui Sun、LiGang Liang. Vegetables、paper card and sand are used to simulate the consists of contents of waste. We adjust the content of ash、moisture、volatile and fixed carbon through adjusting the proportion of vegetables、paper card and sand. The experiments are done on TG-FTIR system to get the characteristic of pyrolysis and combustion.The pyrolysis of paper and vegetables and copyrolysis of paper–vegetables were analyzed on TG-FTIR system, the process of the sample pyrolysis were studied by different heating rate. Experimental results show that TG and DTG curves all moved to higher temperature ranges with increasing heating rate. And the most rate of weight loss is decreasing, which of temperature corresponding with is also increases and the final loss weight increases. As the ratio of paper and vegetables in the mix sample is 5:3 , the effect of paper and vegetables on total characteristic pyrolysis is depend on its quality proportion,and little synergetic effect was found.The effect of oxygen concentration on combustion characteristics was discussed. The oxygen concentration have an sped influence on the volatile matters emitting of paper, and the fired temperature isn’t affected by oxygen concentration.Because of diffuse factor, high oxygen concentration increase the speed of coke combustion.The components of pyrolysis gas production were tested with a Fourier Transform Infrared spectrometry (FTIR). And the wave numbers of gas (CO2、CO、CH4) were also comfirmed. A detailed analysis was made about the releasing of major volatiles during pyrolysis process.Pyrolysis kinetic study of the MSW samples was done on date of experiment. Nine typical functions was simulated with the method of Li Chung-Hsiung, compared their correlation coefficient and standard deviation,finally, confirmed the furthest capable function is F1. According to TG data, activation energies for pyrolysis of the MSW samples were calculated by Coats-Redfern method. It indicates that activation energy increases with the increase of heating rate.
