Abstract:
The coupling between the atoms in an ensemble and the light field will deduce thecollective excitation of atoms in the limit of large polarization. All the atoms are identicalherein. The open system due to the damping of cavity field, even the damping of atomictransitions will display more complex dynamical characteristics.The damping of radiation of the interaction between an oscillator and atoms or ions isstudied. The combined system can be regarded as the interacting system of the dampingquantized field and an atomic ensemble. Under the condition of strong coupling, theanalytical research is done for the system. The steady value of the photon number easilyaffected by the parameters is analyzed in details.Contrast to the normal Rotating Wave Approximation (RWA) used in the evolution ofthe weak coupling processing, we neglected the RWA. The results show some difference fromthe condition of involving RWA because the high-order items, or the virtual processing havebeen maintained. No doubt the analysis is more reliable.
